Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I need a logo for an academic writing tutor website. The business is called Wordsmith Writing Tutor and I offer tutoring services for graduate students and advanced English language learners. I work with clients from the brainstorming stage through their final revision. I do not work with the K-12 demographic, and I don't work with lower level ESL students. I'm looking for something refined but simple. I am not keen on bright colors or complex images as a logo. With this logo, I would like to communicate professionalism, clarity, refinement, and an academic element. This service is geared mostly towards graduate students writing a thesis or dissertation. I am interested in providing a service that falls somewhere in between academic tutoring and copy-editing. That means the feedback will be more directive than traditional writing centers, but I won't write papers for students. This is in the spirit of developing better writers while offering more of a push than traditional writing centers are comfortable giving. I would like to also create a sense of teamwork and support with the logo, if that is possible. Oftentimes in writing center brochures, you will see two people – a writing tutor and a student – sitting at a round table with a laptop open and a hard copy of a research paper between them. I enjoy making students feel comfortable with being where they are in their writing ability. I want to give students the sense that I am going to make this process doable for them, and they will learn something about themselves and the subject matter before it’s all over. I have 5 years of graduate level writing assistance experience, so I don’t want to compete with undergraduates who have much lower rates. The website will have a classic, refined feel to it, and I would like the logo to fit seamlessly.
