PLEASE NOTE: We do not desire a design which incorporates or uses stock photos. It is important that your design is 1) unique and 2) custom. The design should be unique and novel.

We are FLEXIBLE and we look for contemporary, catchy, maybe even edgy designs. The content of this book is about SAFETY...things a person (teacher or school or person in general). Since the topic is SAFTEY and SECURITY...play around with the thought of EDGY.

Pretend you are in a book store. Keep in mind the scary nature of the world today. Pretend you see a cover and it says to you "I MUST READ THAT BOOK"

I am going to upload some of our other book covers. *I am uploading these so you can see that we like a VARIETY of designs. We are OPEN to lots of ideas. The one thing we DO NOT want is boring/"seen it before"/dull/standard type designs.

Safety and Security Habits for Educators
Common Sense Strategies to Improve Personal and Classroom Safety!

This book designed to give common sense tips and techniques to stay safe and prevent emergencies in the lives of teachers, both personally and at school. Because it applies to both personal and professional lives, it provides safety and security aspects at home and at the school. Instead of using fear to motivate reactions, we proactively look at the everyday habits which can improve personal safety. We include ideas about improving the habits of what we do at home and also how we behave and make decisions in public. This includes watching for potential threats in events in our lives and at our schools. There is a two-part approach to the text. The first provides tips to improve personal security both in the home and in public. The second involves tips to promote safety and security in the classroom, and at the school.

We desire something that does not rely on fear or threats, but rather a strong, smart approach to security and safety. We would like to avoid threatening or menacing images, but would like something that portrays teachers with confidence and strength. The feel of the book is more positive and encouraging in terms of what we can do in the face of possible threats, versus what we must do in danger.
