HI there. Interesting project!

Can you clarify something for me please? "...bottom of the screen will have a speaker grill...and above the screen will be the earpiece". So, the earpiece and speaker are separate sound outputs? Or is the microphone at the bottom? If not, where is the microphone to be placed?

yes there will be two sound outputs
the microphones will be on either side of the charging port. below the phone
