Resumen de Diseño de Logo

A diverse group of lawyers in Alberta, Canada with a variety of practice areas who have joined together under the Round Table Law banner as a partnership are looking for a new logo that reflects the firm, and incorporates its new legal status as a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP).

Round Table Law was started about 5 years ago as a home-based solo law firm. It is now a partnership of two women and one man. The name for us evokes two ideas that we like. First, the idea of a round table conversation, one that is less confrontational, less formal, where everyone is on the same side, and there is less distinguishing the lawyer from the client. Second, we think of the knights of the round table as a metaphor for what a lawyer should be: they should both advise you, and work with you to achieve your goals, but should also be willing to represent you in combat when that can't be avoided. It evokes ideas of courage, compassion, candour, and service.

Our firm is unusual in a number of ways, and we don't want the logo to portray us as just like any other law firm. Some of the ways that we are different is that we are a very diverse law firm. The firm's purpose is to increase access to justice in alberta by increasing access to practice for lawyers. That means placing very few restrictions on the kinds of work lawyers do, what they charge, and most importantly, how much they are expected to work. In order to make that a reality we focus on using modern, cloud-based technologies, and working without the overhead of permanent office space. We're very virtual, paperless, automated, and we strive to be approachable both to clients and to other lawyers who might be interested in doing things the way we do.

If the logo evoked a feeling of authenticity and also innovation, that would be great.

We are looking for a logo, stationary and business card designs. We are looking for something that will be good for various online purposes, too. The logo should have a greyscale version that allows for B&W printing onto envelopes and the like.
