This is a set of two illustrations that demonstrate a plate tectonic movement call "subduction". It's when one plate slides under another and compressed the plate like a spring.

The illustration shows the concept in two states - uncompressed and compressed.

There is a small GPS station on top of the earth section, and the artwork for that station is provided.

The "spring" in the sample illustration shows the action, and your illustration needs to accentuate this action. The quality of the sample illustration is below the quality expected for this info-graphic illustration. It does not immediately show the change of state between the two conditions.

The final artwork size is shown in the sample PDF file. Your artwork must work in these dimensions and be designed for readability at the sizes indicated. The small GPS station icons should be approximately 0.5" (13mm) tall on the top of the earth surface.

This illustration is open to your creativity and the style of the present illustration is not the expected look and feel.
