Company font and logo for a brewery that is edgy amen interesting, but engages broad gender and age categories. Looking for options that may contrast with name.

The Australian craft beer industry has enjoyed 9.5% average annual growth from 2011-2016. Annual growth is forecast to continue at 7.4%1 per annum.
We see the growth in the Australian Craft beer industry as a tremendous opportunity to fill the gap in the WA market for craft beer that is accessible to any type of beer consumer.

Leveraging 20 years of business success formalised by an MBA, the Head Brewer and Director has a vision for Ritual Brewing to be a WA craft beer icon in the next 5 years, and nationally within 10 years.

Ritual beer is designed to meet the palette of a broad range of consumers, from the commercial beer drinker orcraft curious through to the craft connoisseur. The core range of products presents interesting flavour profiles that are mild and 'sessionable'. Specialty products will demonstrate more complex and challenging techniques that will keep any craft beer drinker interested and engaged.

Our tag line is "Crafting beers that make the moment."

Target Market:

Customer demographics

Age: The target age demographic for Ritual Brewing will be 25 – 55 years old. These are people who are most likely in full time employment and have active social lives. The CIA World FactBook reports that this age segment is 41.7% of the Australian population. In the Fremantle Statistical Area Level this segment represents 51% of the population or 17,124 people.

The 25 – 30 years segment are highly socially active and often have disposable income. They tend to follow current trends while holding a desire to be at the leading edge of social trends. They are active in social media and are therefore readily engaged if the content is relevant, interesting and bite-sized.
The average age of marriage and for starting a family in Australia is 30. This suggests that 30 – 40 years segment may spend less time socialising at hospitality venues and would more likely socialise in local areas and private residences. This group would most likely have diminished disposable income due to family and mortgage commitments. It is therefore important to provide a welcoming and quality experience at reasonable cost to ensure loyalty. Providing desirable beers with cool packaging will also be important to these customers.

Gender: Males are the major consumers of beer. This will be the target market, while ensuring that any branding or labelling is gender neutral.
The gender split in the Greater Perth area is almost exactly 50/50.

Education: It is expected that people with higher level education will also have greater disposable income and perhaps a disposition more inclined to be interested in food and beverage 'tourism'.

Employment: Craft beer is enjoyed by all however regular purchase of this type of beverage would be those with higher incomes or disposable cash. Our target demographic is customers who have full time or part time jobs, particularly in management, professional or engeering roles.

Income: Again, discretionary income will determine how much a person invests in premium products such as craft beer and how often. Our target demographic will have a personal income above $70,000 p.a and spend less than 30% on rent or mortgage.

Demographics by Drinking Preference
The drinking preferences of consumers is a major factor in marketing selling our beer. Two factors most often considered by craft beer drinkers are Alcohol by Volume (ABV) and International Bitterness Units (IBU). In both of these cases the higher the number, the greater the influence on flavour.
ABV has a strong influence on mouth feel and 'heat' of the drink; the higher the ABV the 'warmer' and "fuller". Greater IBUs increase not just bitterness but also aroma. Most commercial beers sit around 15-20 IBU, being bitter enough to cut through the malt sugars, but not enough to confrtont the drinker.
The Ritual Brewing core range is aimed at craft beer drinkers who are closer to the 'session' consumer who would sit with a few beers across an afternoon with friends and enjoy enough complexity to comment on the flavour. Some seasonal beers will meet the higher level desires to be 'challenged' by a beer.

Design Specifics:

I would like to have bold branding that stands out in a crowded market and can get attention in a beer fridge as a part of the packaging label.I am looking for design that has a gritty element, but without being too 'punk' or alienating. Alternatively, something clean in design to contrast with some of the associations with the word "ritual". There is a logo on current digital presence, but not particularly enamored with the design.

Colour must be easily printable and draw attention without being too confronting. Imagery can relate to beer ingredients (barley grain, hops) but not essential. Should evoke thoughts of friendship, social engagement and quality.
