Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Regarding the background, the company is a brand new Loans company concentrating mainly on Home Loans, however will also be providing business loans, equipment finance…basically all types of loans.

I would like the design to be:

simple
limited colours, also
work well as a black logo as well as coloured, so the shape will be the most important factor. The design could be representative of a particular part of the Platypus or the whole animal.
It could also be a line drawing
I would like the company to be recognisable by shape as well as words

I am really open to any suggestions at the moments. I haven't decided on a colour, I'm leaning towards a blue or dark Blue.

There are so many Platypus logos already out there, however I want something that is going to be easily recognisable. A line drawing is probably not as recognisable as a shape, such as the elephant attached, however i am open to suggestions.
