Resumen de Diseño Infográfico
'Av a bloody tops 'straya arvo, mate! Translation: Happy Australia Day! Not all of us speak like cattle drovers or old-school bushies who camp by billabongs. Every Australian has a sense of what being an Aussie means to them. We want to know what you think! You don't have to be Australian to enter this competition. If you're not an Aussie, we're keen to see your impressions of Australia in a cool infographic.
Your brief? To communicate your idea of Australia in the format of an engaging infographic design. You can take any approach you like - emblems, nature, politics, society, food, culture, sport, music etc.
You can use any form of media; photography, illustration, typography, collage, the possibilities are almost endless. Your submissions can be serious, satirical, earnest, funny but not rude, racist or mean.
Format/File Type will stay the same (Minimum of an AI + EPS, a PDF is a bonus). Must be in CMYK, not RGB. Maximum size is limited to A1 paper size (594 x 841 mm).
The winner will receive $500 and a freshly made Pav. (We're serious)

Do the following “widely held” beliefs (some might call stereotypes) and sentiments about Australians ring true, warm your heart, engage or enrage you (particularly if you are Australian)?!
You know you’re Australian when…
* You only know the first verse of Advanced Australia Fair.
* You believe that stubbies can be either drunk or worn.
* You're liable to burst out laughing whenever you hear of Americans "rooting" for something.
* You pronounce Melb...ourne as 'Mel-bin'.
*You believe the 'L' in the word 'Australia' is optional.
* You say 'no worries' quite often, whether you realise it or not (and you understand what no ‘wucking furries’ means.)
* You know that there is a universal place called "woop woop" located in the middle of nowhere...no matter where you actually are.
* You know how to abbreviate every word, all of which usually end in -o: arvo, combo, garbo, kero, metho, milko, muso, rego, servo, smoko, speedo, righto, goodo etc.
* You know for a fact that Pavlova was invented in Australia.
* You crave a Chicken tikka wrap and or Lebanese kebab from a local take-away joint at the end of a big night.
* You eat vegemite on toast for breakfast.
* You got excited when you heard or watched on You Tube the ex-Prime Minister of Australia, Bob Hawke, scull a schooner of beer in front of Indian cricket fans at the Australia versus Indian cricket match at SCG http://youtu.be/o5mBShX9fdU

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I'm extending the deadline. I'd love to see more designs submitted. This contest is open to everyone, not just Australians. I will ask for the Australian-only submission rule to lifted. Thanks for your patience and for your contributions so far!

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I'd love to see more designs, especially designs with strong visuals emphasis on particular themes with a good mix of quantitative research (ie Statistics) included in the infographic.
Thanks!
