Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Anglia Woodfuels is the re-branded identity of Oykel Woodfuels, a company specializing in the sale of high quality woodchip for the biomass industry from responsibly managed woodlands.

The brand needs to convey an efficient smooth business that knows its industry and operates as a business, not a woodland cutting company. Equally not a handy man with a woodchip machine.

The logo should have ‘renewable’ at its core as well as a ‘green, clean and efficient feel to it’. It could contain a tree although others have done this in the industry. It should not convey destructive felling or burning of timber and should avoid a ‘heavy industry’ feel.

It is a competitive market and we are looking to stand out from the competition by bringing a smart, clean and professional brand into the market place.

These are competitors, but we do not feel that any of them have particularly great logos or brand identities. Nonetheless, this is who we compete with:

Attached to this is a copy of a winning designcrowd project chosen by the same client for another of their companies. Although the two companies are very distinct and separate. It might give some idea as to the style that they prefer.

Requisitos

Debes tener

• The logo must contain:
  
  - The words Anglia Woodfuels
  - Have those words clearly written and include a custom mark
  
  No current branding constraints exist, so submissions will be judged on quality of mark, fonts used and colours chosen.

Agradable de tener

• It would be nice to have a version with the mark on the left of the text (so easy use in the narrow header of a website) and also a version with the mark over the top of the text.

No debería tener

• The mark should not rely on gradients that mean the logo doesn't make sense when it's turned into a single colour.
  
  The logo should not have bitmap images in. We are looking for a vector mark, rather than any kind of picture.
  
  The mark should not include very, very thick, bold fonts.
