Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Hi -
I need a logo for a 'hobby turned business' that happened as a result of winning a Staples Make Your Idea Happen contest. I was making hats and jewelry and selling them at the local arts center at Christmas and someone purchased a hat for a friend that had lost her hair. The hat was too big for her smooth head, so I had to adapt the sizing of the hats - and I knew right then that making cancer survivors feel better was my dream.
A key feature is a little pocket on the inside of the hat to tuck a note or keepsake, so my idea is that the logo could be like a little love letter - an envelope with a heart. I did a quick version on Word to show this particular idea, but I am open to suggestions. My version is too clunky, wrong typeface, etc. - it is just an idea.
The logo needs to be printable in one color so I can have fabric labels made that won’t be too expensive that can be sewn into the seam hats.
I also need to be able to have metal tags made with the logo to attach to the clasp on the jewelry I make, so the design has to be simple and easy to understand. The idea of the jewelry is that it makes the wearer feel special and brings energy through the use of semi-precious stones, cute beads, pearls or something sparkly.
I would be open to having perhaps a small ‘feature’ of the logo as the design that goes on the labels and tags.
If the design is multi-color, I also need to be able to print the logo in one color or black & white.
The focus customer is female – both the buyer and wearer - and also girls and boys.
I am thinking that the logo should have a bit of a 'hand-made' feel to it. I have also attached a little 'pen & pencil' scribble to illustrate what I mean.
The logo should make you feel good – should make you say aawwhhhh – and be something that can grow with me.
