Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I am extending the deadline because many of the logos submitted do not really follow the constraints specified in the original request. 1) Do not use words in the logo, unless is related to the master's name: Kwon. Many logos submitted use the word TaeKwonDo as the main part of the logo. It is really not needed to include "taekwondo" in the logo, specially as the main feature of the logo. More than likely those will not be considered. Our master also teaches Hapkido to a more limited number of students. The logo will be reused for a Hapkido audience when needed. This is just to indicate that the logo should not have "TaeKwonDo" as its most prominent feature. Our master, taekwondo and hapkido are all Korean, so a logo that conveys "Korean" is also one way to go. 2) Some logos include books and caps as if we are an academic school. We are a martial arts school. Symbols of intellectual learning do not apply (books, pen, cap, gown, brain, etc). Also, the word School should not be used at all. 3) Some submissions are essentially the same logo on different surfaces (paper, business card, store front, etc). We are only interested in white and red backgrounds (the colors of the uniforms). Please, do not clutter the submission list by sending 4 variations of the same log with only differences in backgrounds. 4) Going back to point #1, we can try ourselves the word taekowndo in multiple fonts. We are subcontracting the artistic work to you because we believe you can come up with some unique logo we cannot come up with ourselves. Please be creative (think twitter, amazon, nike's logo, etc). 5) Repeating from the original subscription, we are a martial arts school. Think Bruce Lee, Karate Kid, Chuck Norris, (I know, you can tell I am old :) ). Looking for a logo that conveys power, confidence, athletic grace, etc. Good luck, and thank you.

We recently updated the brief with some images for guidance on the possible "look" of the logo. We want to extend the deadline to allow designers to come up with some logos similar in "look" to those images uploaded in the project brief.
