Resumen de Diseño de Portada de CD
OUR NEED
We need a character representing our band, ‘Lady Bazaar.’ This character will be used for our next album’s cover. We need 2 pages:
1: CHARACTER (front)+ Album Name and band name
2: CHARACTER (back) back cover.
The drawings already drafted (see attachment) represent the basic outline of the character we would like you to re-work! Please use them to do so.
Our Requirements
The character is a futurist, humanoid, purple-and curly-haired woman. She would be partly human and partly a cyborg. The left side of her body would have been severely wounded and more repaired than healed, using natural, as well as artificial elements, materials, or objects (e.g.: branches, leaves, sea shells, metals, music instruments…). She has a bass clef engraved in the middle of the metal left part of her back. Her left leg is made of mixed up tree roots that help her connect to the Earth. For greater convenience, we call her ‘Lady Zaarba,’ in further descriptions, below.
Lady Zaarba should look realistic. Although the details of the attached outline are important and should be kept as basic elements, we would welcome your proposals. The background/Environment should convey an atmosphere of bravery, bright future and supernatural mystery.
Nature, technology, their interactive evolution, and the future of human kind are important topics for us.
The music styles to keep in mind when designing the character are: Soul, Funk, Groove, Jazz, Hiphop, Electro, Tripop, Afro Music.
Specific requirements for front page and back cover
The attached draft drawings should be used as guidelines for the front page and back cover.
The album’s title, ‘Brave,’ and the band’s name, ‘Lady Bazaar,’ should appear on the front page, together with Lady Zaarba, almost full face. The font used for the band’s name is that of the attached logo. We would prefer a thinner font for the album’s name.
Lady Zaarba should be represented from behind, on the right side of the back cover. The songs’ titles should be written on the left side of the back cover. Lady Zaarba should be represented looking to the right, as if she would be contemplating the unknown, mysterious future suggested by a vanishing background (nobody knows what Lady Zaarba is watching…).
