The process of research will then involve finding out the synopsis/storyline for the film and information about genre, cast etc. so that you build up an idea of the likely needs and functions of your poster design. If you choose to do a film poster then it should not resemble the film poster actually released for this film.
Size for the poster design must be a minimum of A3.
I need to do an Effective Poster Design. It must take into consideration the following points.




Is Your Final Poster Design … ?
• Aesthetic It often helps to add a key point that catches the viewer’s eye and pulls them in. It also helps that it is a carefully considered design.

• Memorable
It should attract attention so the message is delivered. Like a good logo design a poster should be something that you remember.

• Focused It should be focused and communicate a single, coherent, message clearly with good use of typography.

• Informative
Get the key details across like the title, date and possibly the actors. Make sure this information is laid out in an ordered and logical way.

• Relevance

• The artwork should represent, reflect, or be relevant to, the subject being communicated.

• Space
For the most artistically successful designs, a good amount of spacing works wonders.

• Audience
Make sure you think about your target audience when you are preparing your design.
