A few things. First off, please guarantee the payment. Making the payment guaranteed will draw higher quality designers giving you a better chance at receiving more quality submissions. Guaranteeing the payment shows that you are serious which means the designers will be more serious as well.

We are exploring both options or if there was a way to turn some of the text into a symbol. We are more focused on the company name OBICX and making it stand out. We are a condom company.

Since OBICX is what you are looking to make stand out, are you wanting g.lux to be smaller text to go along with OBICX or it's own logo that will sit with the OBICX logo? I'm simply asking to clarify what you are looking for and whether or not this should really be 2 logo projects.

OBICX is the company name and g.lux is the product. we'd probably like more of a logo or way of showing that company name and then the product to just be a cool font.

We want to want to just see how the g.lux font would look next to the company name.

So yes glux could be smaller .. it will always be used with the company name but the company name might be used without glux. does that make sense?

So the company has no logo, but its name should be written in Sans Serif? This font is quite common, unless it's part of a logo with a sign/symbol etc. I'm asking because the briefing is about the new product and the "by OBICX" bit is of secondary importance by definition.
