We need a website and logo designed and built allowing customers to purchase custom oil paintings. The paintings will come from a customers single photograph or even combination of photos. They will be able to complete a straight forward checkout process, selecting their desired medium (oil or charcoal painting), their desired size, the number of figures in the painting, the type of background required (as per photo or let the artist decide). Which will then automaticaly provide the customer with a price for the purchase. Allowing them to add a photo to the order which they can then submit with the order present in their personal account etc etc etc.

Theres one website in particular that i will be competing with. That is based in the US - http://www.paintyourlife.com

I wish to far exceed the appearence of the already present site.

At the moment i wish to include Paypal in the payment process. Unless there are some cheaper, more cost efficient ways, please let me know.

I have no great sense of design, but the site must be straight forward, eye catching, engaging and give the customer a sense of high quality. Some kind of flash animation with pictures on the front page scrolling?

For myself, the admin side, ideally must be straight forward to maintain. The ability to update customers accounts with info (they will then be informed there is an update in their account etc)

The ability for automated emails from point of sale (sales orders with generated order numbers) to myself. Again automated emails to the customers once the "status" of their order or other information has been submitted to their account (by myself) or a similar system.
