I'm launching a podcast, YouTube Channel and book under the title: larger than life: pursuing the Power of a Transcendent LIFE!
I have a blog on Typepad called MORPHUS. I've just been playing with blogging and podcasting. LARGER THAN life represents a more strategic and intentional move into monetizing/creating for me a side hustle.
As you consider this design project, think about this....
Have you ever felt boxed in? Like the world has put you in a box? The box limits you. It confines you in a small, controlled and lifeless place. The box becomes the boundaries of your life. You live in the box. Work in the box. Relate in the box. And whatever you do, don't get out of the box.
The box may have been imposed on you by the expectations or demands of your family. It could have been created by the opinions and barbs of a critical friend or a trusted mentor. The box might be the product of your own self-limiting beliefs, the consequence of past failures, present insecurities, or anxieties about an unknown future.
Maybe the demands of your circumstance created your box. You'd love to be MORE, have MORE, do MORE, but you feel held back, pinned in by financial pressures, family responsibilities, career choices. You have a mortgage to pay, college tuition to prepare for. You dream of doing something else, investing your efforts in a job you actually enjoy, one that provides the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way. But that's nothing more than a flight of fancy. The constant noise of the voices who have built your box drown out the constant whisper of your soul that longs for MORE. You have a partner to love. The people around you need you to stay in the box.
The reasons the box is there are many. The question is, do you want to continue to live in this box?
For some, the box is safe. Through a thousand small decisions, they choose to stay confined in the box. It's comfortable, predictable, familiar. It's coherent. It actually makes sense to stay. It might not be the type of existence you'd hoped for, but at least you know the rules. At least you get up in the morning knowing what to expect. There's something to be said for predictability.
So you choose to play small. You choose to exist in the box.
But here's the problem. You were never designed to live in a box. You were created for MORE. And you know. Gnawing inside you is this desire, this unquenchable thirst to BE more, to HAVE more, to DO more! You were made for MORE.
You were made to be LARGER THAN life!
Life in the box is not the LIFE for you. It's not the LIFE for anyone.
You can get out of the box. You can choose to no longer play it small. You can transcend the expectations of others. You can blow past the limitations of your far too small beliefs about yourself. You can break free from the boundaries of your current demands. But you're going to have to choose to do so. You've got to decide that playing small doesn't suit you well.
Sure, playing small is no doubt more comfortable. It's predictable. It's even controllable to a large extent. You know what you've got. But what you've got is a compromise, a facsimile of the LIFE that you're supposed to be living. You've allowed the box to stunt your growth, to limit your influence. The box confines your dreams. It holds you in and keeps others out!
The box defines you because you've let it. But what you've got is not YOU. It's a shadow of you. It's a limited, drawn down, pinned in version of YOU.
There is MORE!

Requisitos
Debes tener
- key idea: the word "life" in the logo should be lower case letters, representing mere existence or a life of playing small. The concept is we are wired to be larger than life (lower case). We have an infinite capacity for LIFE, but so many of us choose to play small.
- Need a blog page initially.
- Would like to have an image/icon with the words. Powerful and bold. Something that captures movement, metamorphosis, growing, contributing.
Agradable de tener
- Clean. Modern. Logo needs to be flexible. Multiple uses. Should work in color and b/w. I'm not married to the colors below, but like the combination. Bright lime green seems to be hot right now. Green also brings LIFE and growing to mind.
