Although I am still very much open to creative new ideas for an icon, if you have the design skills but no idea what to design then try this.. Take the front of the video camera, or just its lens, and show a reflection of (the top) part of a clapper in it. The idea is two-fold: the clapper is used in the artwork on the web site, but it also hints at the old icon. The challenge here is to make a real icon out of this idea! Again, make sure it matches the look & feel of the existing artwork on the web site. Thanks!

I attached another file which is used as trial logo (put over the outgoing video stream). You can use this for inspiration. Again please note the consistent style in both logo and web site, I cannot emphasize enough that the application icon must be in the same style. thanks!

Before you create and post a design, please read the brief carefully. I cannot believe how many designers create something that does not match the quality, look & feel of the VidBlaster site. Obviously that is most important.

So far no useful designs have been submitted, which means the contest is still open to anyone. If professional designers find the budget of this contest insufficient then I am willing to pay extra for your winning design. However as it looks now no design will meet my approval so I do not feel confident enough to increase the budget before hand.
