Carvel Boards are handcrafted, premium quality wooden stand-up paddle and skateboards. These are bespoke boards crafted out of various exotic woods not typically used in mass manufactured boards. Carvel Boards are built with a blend of both modern and classic timberwork technics that reflect the skills and experience of the designers 20-year + experience in classic timber yachts.

Classic Wood Paddleboard Designs and Kits are the creation of Tarquin Place. Tarquin is a professional classic yacht skipper with over 20 years experience cruising, racing and maintaining classic yachts throughout the world. His designs and craftsmanship reflect the very best principles of classic wooden boat design. objects of aesthetic beauty that are functional fit for purpose.

Tarquin combines both the artisan craftsmanship of timber yacht construction and modern hull design to deliver beautiful, fast and stable Standup Paddleboards that will last for generations. Tarquin is a native Australian but now lives and works in the south of France in Cannes. He currently Skippers for Stormy Weather, one of the best-loved and most recognised classic sailing yachts on the water today.

Logo requirements

The logo needs to be simplistic and only be black and white. The primary use at this time is for branding on the boards themselves and to support website and social media. So small to medium size printing for board branding and digital

The logo will be printed on rice paper and or burnt/etched into the wood. So fine detail will not be appropriate.

I have attached a picture of the Camargue Cross. I like the idea of incorporating an anchor symbol such as the Camargue Cross into the logo or incorporated into the logo design is desirable but not obligatory. I supply the reference a design element that could be incorporated.

The website does not necessarily reflect the 'Classic Wooden Boat' style of design for the logo. As I am sure you understand the WIX website are just templates and the template chosen was a 'best match'. Do not be constrained by the 'look and feel' of the website.
