I need an App Icon for a new 3D Data visualisation iPhone mobile app that will track a number of real time data points on a 3D globe of the world

The application is an iPhone application that will allow user to receive real time geographical data from a backend API also developed in house. Currently there isn't any other application like it in the app store.

The design theme of the app is currently a transparent black 3D globe with solarised colour markers (predominantly red and orange transparent markers) indicating various location based attributes of the data.

Navigating the globe is the main feature of the app and so are the solarised coloured transparent markers.

As far as the theme or design style, one idea I had was for an abstract globe incorporating the color, dark, and transparency themes already existing in the app. But this is obviously open to your own creativity!!

Some ideas that I had would incorporate
1. The theme of a 3D globe
2. The solarised red and orange colours present in the markers (transparent circles) in the design of the app
3. Black transparency / dark theme / translucency - transparency and translucency an overriding theme of the app.

The icon should adhere to the Apple's requirements for an app icon which I have listed here for reference (taken from https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/userexperience/conceptual/mobilehig/IconMatrix.html)

The final design should communicate
1. Global nature of the app
2. Real time data /up to the minute nature of the app
