We used the process of elimination. Anything we're not considering a contender, our client rated 2 stars. Unfortunately, I don't know the specific reason for each of the ratings but in general our client's criteria is: Fits his "brand"; Masculine; Christian Rap Culture; Easy to see and identify at a distance; easy to embroider. Unfortunately, he was unable to articulate that in the design outline but it came out after he saw the design options. Thank you for your submissions!

Also - I can't see the design numbers. They only display the artist name. It'd be nice if DC would provide a better way to sort designs than the ratings. Star ratings are too personal for creatives. Just because they don't suit the client doesn't mean they're not good.

You just simply eliminate entry you don't like.
As simple as that.
It has no effect to designer's reputation.

Previously, it has 4 stars :(

Was using that as a process of elimination in order to sort the designs. The design looks good - but compared to other designs, the client prefers others. We'll adjust the rating before completing the process.
