Resumen de Diseño de Logo
I am a board member of a charitable foundation that provides grants for research to try to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes and grants to provide support for patients with Type 1 diabetes and their families. We need to design a logo for the foundation and that can be used on business cards for the board members, letterhead, and website. We would like the logo to prominently identify the name of the foundation, which is BEATSON FOUNDATION. If possible, a less prominent part of the logo could include TYPE 1 and something that would communicate HOPE and SUPPORT. We have no particular colors in mind. We may also use the logo as an embroidered logo on backpacks for children with Type 1 who attend a week at a special summer camp for Type 1 patients.

Since originally posting this project I have had a bit of an epiphany, at least for me. I think I was trying to say too much in the foundation logo. I believe it would be better to completely remove any reference to Type 1 in the logo and have the text of the logo be more simple and include only BEATSON FOUNDATION as the more prominent text, with two possible options: (1) include with the name of the foundation but in smaller text the words HOPE - SUPPORT, in any order, or (2) leave of HOPE and SUPPORT and just have the logo be the name of the foundation alone or accompanied by some unique mark.
My original desire was to have the logo include Type 1 because that is our main target but I realize the logo doesn't necessarily have to tell your entire story as an organization.
I hope this is helpful as you submit designs for review. It should make the design more simple, I believe. Thank you.

I don't want this to be the only type of design considered but one possibility might be to consider my prior recent update and then have the mark that accompanies the name of the foundation be something like a small target with the number 1 on the target and then eliminate the words HOPE and SUPPORT to keep it more simple. The idea being that we are targeting Type 1 diabetes. I don't want the mark to overshadow the name of the foundation. When I say target I am speaking of the kind of target used for archery or pistol competition with a bulls eye in the center of the target. If the target had the number "1" imposed on it that might be something that would work.

Requisitos
Debes tener
- Name of the foundation: BEATSON FOUNDATION
Agradable de tener
- Something that ties the Foundation to TYPE 1. Something that communicates HOPE and SUPPORT. One idea is to identify the foundation by name and then underneath the name simply state TYPE 1 - HOPE & SUPPORT or something along that line. Another idea would be to identify the foundation by name and then beneath it have TYPE 1 in heavy block style or as if built by cinder blocks or something communicating an immovable object but have it with cracks and chinks in it as if it is beginning to crumble and collapse to communicate that we are fighting Type 1 diabetes and beginning to succeed, so there is hope.
