Resumen de Diseño de Logo

New Horizons Fellowship is a community-serving church outside of Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina and just celebrated our 25th anniversary. There is a good deal of diversity in our area, and that is reflected in the church attendance (ethnicity, socioeconomic, and more). The previous logo, attached, is dated and in need of change. Its strength was in the concept of people who are connected to one another yet still reaching out to include others. The other image attached is an image selected for our website update, which gives a sense of the "vibe" we're looking for. The church has a heavy emphasis on serving: building homes with Habitat for Humanity, helping refugees relocate to our area, hosting multiple weekly recovery groups and community events, with ministries for single moms, schoolchildren, homebound elderly, and prisoners, as well as a Christmas toy giveaway that served more than 1250 children in 2017. Preference is to avoid blues in the new logo, and the website design uses a number of outdoor photos, so there are lots of shades of green and yellow from grass, leaves, and sun. Target audience is 20-30something singles and couples, and words posted to Facebook by attenders for the anniversary included: authentic, safe, welcoming, home, inspiring, life-changing, transforming and honest. This is not a traditional church environment, so the logo does not have to include or imply a cross or other "typical" religious imagery. A new logo does not have to include people, though conveying the concept of connection and welcoming in some way would be ideal.
