Resumen de Diseño de Logo
Primoris is an IT consulting company based in Australia and New Zealand. We provide very senior technical specialists to help customers get more out of their IT infrastructure. Our customers use a number of complex software products mace by companies like IBM, HP and CA to run their IT departments and manage their software and hardware. Because we understand these software products we can help them to use them more effectively and get more value from them. And as a result they can run more efficiently and provide better services to their customers. Our customers are the IT departments of big corporate organisations, telcos and government.
Our current logo can be seen at www.primoris.com.au
What do we like about it?
• Not a lot.
• The globe is boring and ‘stock’
• Font is old school
• The initials look fussy and old fashioned
• The colour shading is a pain
What we’d need
• We need something that is simple, elegant and represents what we are and do.
• Ideally the icon (or at least a portion of it) will be easy to turn into an icon for a webpage [Square and not too fussy]
• Use of more the one primary colour
• Example Logo’s www.google.com , www.lexel.com,
What we actually do
We have two main areas of expertise: ITSM and Virtualisation.
ITSM
• Basically: The monitoring of networks, computers and applications to provide end-2-end visibility of services and processes.
• Keywords: Visibility, control, reliability, speed
• Lay speak- We help you work out what is broken or going to break in your computer network…. So you know who should fix it and how broken it is. Eg across all IT bits…/ hardware, Software and network
Virtualisation
• Basically: The ‘cloud’.
The ability to run your server anywhere in the world and have the users none the wiser
The ability to turn 5 physical computers into 5 Virtual Machines running on 1 physical server ‘somewhere’
• Keywords: Efficiency, availability, flexibility
• Lay speak – allowing you to run more stuff (programs) on the same computers or on someone elses big computers in the internet. Allowing you make sure your combined computing asset are used as close to 100% as possible and just using power and collecting dust.
