Resumen de Diseño de Portada de CD

CD cover for album of a funky NYC brass and drums band. The album's vibe is James Brown horn-powered, New Orleans flavored, urban, party music. We wear classy suits and ties like the Blues Brothers.

For the cover I imagine a cartoon night city skyline, retro 60's or 70's, very cartoonish, not realistic. I attached 2 images that capture this vibe I'm looking for. I really like the funky crooked buildings for instance. I'm drawn to a purple-ish sky, black buildings and maybe gold text. I imagine a layout with the band name (maybe all uppercase) above the city skyline, and album title below skyline at bottom (maybe all lowercase), with a retro cartoon-looking font. I'd like large lettering and design that is still catchy as a tiny thumbnail image online, as it will be seen mostly.

By all means be creative and be yourself, but these images convey the feeling I'm looking for and hopefully are a good guide.

Only text should be “Street Beat Brass” (band name) and “Get in the Beat” (album title).

According to my distributor:

Feel free to be creative with what you do with the letters and words. ...Also, the colors I selected below (purple, gold, blue) don't have to be the only colors of course, just suggested as the main colors. Also there should probably be black too, in buildings and/or sky, but the site didn't give me black as an option.
