Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a logo to use on signs, stickers, tote bags and t-shirts for people who want to become a 'Friend of the Regent Honeyeater'. The Regent Honeyeater is a critically endangered bird in South Eastern Australia - there are estimated to be less than 500 remaining in the wild. We want to raise awareness around conservation issues and encourage people to take practical action to help save this iconic bird from extinction. The logo will go on property signs that will be a 450mm x 450mm triangle for rural landholders and a 250mm x 250mm triangle for town houses. These signs are a tangible way for people to show they support Regent Honeyeater conservation. The design needs to be bold so it stands out and is easily recognisable. It also needs to have a simple attractiveness that contributes to people feeling a sense of pride in displaying public support in this way. The signs could be similar to a road sign i.e. black print on yellow/orange background. The background should be a golden colour similar to that of the Regent Honeyeater's plumage - not too garish. It needs to contain an image of the Regent Honeyeater, which could either be realistic or stylised. We think a black image on a gold background would work well, with the yellow chest feathers gradually increasing and then blending with the background. We also want to be able to reverse the colours so we can use a gold print on black t-shirts and tote bags. The final design will be a simple yet effective tool to encourage people to publicly support Regent Honeyeater conservation.
