Hi all, thank you for your submissions.

One element that is not essential, but may be included in the design is the use of newspaper imagery. "Scoop" indicates both the ice cream scoop and the concept that this a community gathering place that will share local updates.

(In journalism, a "scoop" is an item of news reported by one journalist or news organization before others, and of exceptional originality, importance, surprise, excitement, or secrecy. Scoops are important and likely to interest or concern many people.)
