Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I've been making homemade ice cream for my family for decades. They finally convinced me to go commercial with "Dad's Helados." Note the Spanish since this business is in South America. This will be a premium ice cream made from 100% natural ingredients. The logo should evoke both strength and care, but be fun as well. I don't want too many colors, since Dad's will actually be started as a sub-business within our newly opened Tex Mex restaurant which is called Vecinos and has lots of bright colors in the logo.
