Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are seeking an updated logo for the Cascades West Rideshare (to be renamed Cascades West Transportation Options) program at the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCOG). The program provides transportation options outreach, including carpool and vanpool matching services for commuters living or working in Oregon’s Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties. The program collaborates with employers, community groups, health advocates, sustainability advocates, and others to promote transit ridership, bicycle safety, commute options, and more through public education and events.

The program’s existing logo dates back more than two decades, and a refresh is overdue. Cascades West Rideshare is committed to inclusive community engagement efforts, and a well- designed and modern logo will help ensure a cohesive brand identity and a high level of professionalism for work products, public outreach materials, online presence, etc. Also, the program’s name is being updated to Cascades West Transportation Options to be more inclusive of non-rideshare modes.

The logo should feature a sleek, simple, bold, and clean design so when it is scaled down to be used on letterhead, for example, its readability is not diminished. It should be in a round or horizontal shape. Dark blue or green are preferred colors and would work well when paired with logos of our associated entities.

Emerging concepts include: Transportation, Connectivity, Active, Healthy, Multi-Modal, System, Safety, Public, Walking, Bicycling, and Community. The transportation modes (biking, walking, transit, etc.) do NOT need to be explicitly pictured. Elements from the natural world can be considered in an abstract way (mountains, rivers, trees, fields, etc.) as well as the built environment (buildings, roads, etc.)

Please consider the logos in the attached compilation to get a sense of the stylistic approach we are looking for. Included in the compilation are:
• Logos from a selection of other rideshare programs and campaigns in Oregon
• The logo for the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCOG), which is the umbrella agency that staffs the Cascades West Rideshare program
• Logos for other OCWCOG programs
