Resumen de Diseño de Etiqueta

Tallinn Distillery is a small beginning project of handcrafted distillery producing cider spirit (same as apple wine spirit) and apple vodka from apple wine. There are not many similar small distilleries in the Baltic Sea region and very few of them produce apple brandy, so the concept and the product itself are unique. That is the reason we are not developing any distinctive brand and we are sticking to two elements – company name ‘Tallinn Distillery OÜ’ and product name ‘Applejack’. Best branding solution for us would be to have a clear logo instead of words.

In the future it is most likely that the product range will broaden by some type of sweet liqueurs like apple-liqueur and black-currant-liqueur and both will be mixtures of natural juice and apple brandy.

We have tested the product itself and more or less chosen proper bottle and closing. Example of the shape of the bottle:

Sizes of bottles:
500 ml Height (without cap) 350 mm, external diameter 60 mm;
375 ml Height (without cap) 330 mm, external diameeter 55 mm;

The bottle cap/closing is going to be waxed, and should look something like that:

The design has two separate parts: (1) paper bottle label and (2) print on the bottle.

Front side – printed to the bottle, preferably a symbol without text, for better quality of print rather a vector graphics (monochrome or up to 3-single colour picture). We would like to use the symbol also as an enterprise logo if possible (but logo and bottle print can also be different if designer decides so). It should give a hint to apple based distillate (but, we do not want to narrow down creators fantasy so if you have a good idea please don’t hold back). Just to offer a dumb examples:

Back side – a rectangular shaped label glued to the bottle. Label should not be a square but rather oblong and narrow. The colour of the label shouldn’t be white but rather light yellow, light brown or light creamy. Some examples:

Design as such can be the same. Since we are planning to bottle the product in 375 ml and 500 ml bottles and dilute it down to 45% and 55%. So, there should be 37,5 cl 45%, 50 cl 45%; 37,5 cl 55%; 50 cl 55%.

We assume that in case of 37,5 cl and 50 cl bottles we can use the same design and just resize the printed image and paper-label a bit.

Since the product is handmade and high quality we would like to stress credibility. Not as important as the first purchase is the second purchase of clients – the label should not be shocking but rather trustworthy. And classy in the very best sense.

We are hoping to have a long term business relationship with possible future designer.
