We need a logo design for a new digital marketing company based in London called 'Ambiana Marketing'.
Ambiana means ‘tell one another’ in Swahili and ‘an’ is attached to verb roots to express that the action is carried out mutually suggesting a sharing of information and collaboration. Swahili is a language that developed and spread through the trading links between the coastal towns of Sub-Saharan Africa and the interior and lands around the Indian Ocean. It was a a means of communication between people at trading places who did not share the same ‘home language’. This idea of words spreading through communities built around products and interests is very appropriate in today’s digital world. The founder also grew up in Kenya so Swahili is relevant to them as an individual.
We want to work with entrepeneurs who need to leverage digital to communicate with their customers but don't know where to being in navigating their way through this complex landscape.
We will offer a top-level digital strategy and roadmap and direction on how to implement it in an affordable way.
We think it's exciting to work with young companies who are keen to make a difference and can start with a clean slate and build resources for the digital age.
Marketing is no longer about blasting one way messages to the consumer but more about developing a dialogue and holding conversations with those customers. Costs of entry for small businesses is prohibitive as marketing agencies are made up of multiple resources and skill sets and are expensive. They are also less agile so unable to deliver work for smaller clients.
Ambiana aims to streamline the process to make it more time-efficient and cost-effective.
We want to work in an open and collaborative way with our clients. Keeping the process simple while staying abreast of the every changing landscape. Able to remain flexible and adapt to our clients needs. We want to be approachable and most importantly communicate to our clients in a way that makes everything much easier to understand. While delivering a stategy that delivers results.
We don't have any preference for colours although might be worth thinking about the Swahili/African theme when considering colours. We are a service offering so we don't need an over-complicated logo. If you look at many marketing agencies their logos are often just an image of their name rather than incorporating a symbol with the name (or something that that can stand alone from the name). We don't need that but if you feel there is an appropriate symbol to communicate this offer then you are welcome to submit your thoughts.
