Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are a brand new electrical contractor looking for a unique logo design for our cool new company based in historic (& hip) downtown Sanford, Florida. We are going to specialize in electric and lighting designs, installation, and service. Our projects will range from small to large commercial projects as well as residential service and repair work.

About the owner: Jon Baker is from Raleigh NC (hence “Oak City”) and now lives in Central Florida. He likes craft beer (making it and drinking it) and loves to run, play soccer (futbol), cycling, and surfing in the Atlantic ocean in his spare time.

We would like the logo to be a self contained shape that could easily pass for a craft beer label. We would like the logo to have a vintage feel yet modern and updated. Think vintage 70's Florida surf shop / electric company / brewery logo. Perhaps a lighting bolt incorporated as part of the design? We really like logos that also make a pretty cool sticker. Colors we like are blue & orange or yellow. Vibrant colors of a beach sunset. We would like to limit the design to only one or two colors (if printed in full color) but one that will look equally good printed in a single color like white or black. We have a current related Electrical Engineering firm that has its own established logo that we are currently using and keeping. Ideas for the new logo were to have a palm tree/beach scene (skyline) to mimic that of the city skyline in our existing logo. Other ideas were to have a silhouette of power lines similar to one of our personal photos. (see attached files for reference photos).

There will be occasions where both of our companies will be on the same projects and/or job sites and we would like them to compliment each other aesthetically speaking. There may be future occasions when both logos would be displayed together on invoices, letterhead, work shirts, merchandise, etc, so they need to look good together.

We are completely open to creative interpretation of any or all of our ideas. All design ideas are welcome!
