Looking forward to those designs!
Do you want the infographic detailed or not?
if that, what about page numbers?
I don't think that detailed that we need page numbers. I think there should be a section on the history of RCM summarising the main concept of 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation of maintenance and have a suitable image for each.
Then there should be a section for each of the 9 Principles with Principle #2 the most detailed where all the failure patterns are shown similar to the table I have in the article.
I have extended the deadline to make sure I get enough designs and have time to give quality feedback to all designers.
Here is some general feedback based on the first designs I've received:
- Make sure your design aligns with the feel of www.roadtoreliability.com
- Use a white background, with mostly the blue/grey mentioned in the design brief and a small amount of highlight colour(s)
- Plenty of white space
- not too much text
Recommended content / structure:
- large hero image at the top (or bottom)
- summarise 3 generations of maintenance
- timeline with key years in the history of RCM
- summary table showing the difference in maintenance between DC-8 and 747-100
- diagram showing 9 principles of maintenance
- brief description of each principle
- for principle #2 include a table with all failure patterns
- footer
Dear Project Owner,
I just wanted to let you know that I am working on this concept at present and will submit my design sometime soon. Please expect the same.
Thank you.

Thank you.

hello,
will this be printed out or only posted on the web (social media, website, infographic boards, etc.?)
dear CH, hope you can reply soon, the reason I ask is that the biggest size paper (A3 / tabloid 11 x 17). All of the information you want to put in is already crowded. Do you want to include also the table you presented on the PDF? If this is only web based (vertical infographic), there should be more freedom as it can extend indefinitely.
PS If you can provide us a "summary" of the information to be put in, would be best. It is much harder to analyze the whole document than to design it.
