Overview:
We need to modernize an existing logo for a Cardiology Group.
The doctors do not have the original artwork / vector files, we only have a poorly scanned version of the original, and the scan from their old business card.
CardioCare & Vascular Center is a modern cardiology clinic with the latest in technology for testing, diagnosis and management of cardiac conditions.
This cardiology group is in the process of renovating and expanding their offices and have contracted an architect to help with this process. The architect is suggesting to integrate a stainless steel sign of their logo in one of the primary walls.
This is a great time to : secure a digital version of their identity and modernize their logo to go along with their renovated office space and image.
Design preferences - I've attached a photo of the current logo. We would like to use this a starting point to offer a renovated modern version. The current logo is simple, they like simplicity. There appears to be some concentric waves driving the eyes attention to the heart area, we don't need to keep them as long as it is clear that this is a cardiology focused medical practice. Any recommendations to improve legibility / typography of the logo are welcome. The human element is something they like, we can recommend style changes but should maintain it as part of the renovated logo.
Tone: Expert, caring, modern.
Once we have a logo recommendation, the idea is that we can take that logo and make a stainless steel (matte/dull) sign for their office entrance.
I've attached a photo of the Wall where the stainless steel sign will be installed. The wall will be painted in a dark grey color and the sign will have a flood lighting from above. I've also included some examples of stainless steel applications that the Client shared with me as reference.
We may suggest that for the wall application the logo is used in horizontal rather than vertical format. Please consider presenting horizontal or vertical uses as you see fit.
