Resumen de Diseño de Logo

The HPV&Anal Cancer Foundation has two brands: 1) NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV; 2) the Anal Cancer Foundation. HPV causes Anal Cancer and 5% of all cancers. Anal Cancer is one of the fastest increasing cancers in men and women today. Despite of this relationship, the complexity of our name creates challenges for our various users. We’ve discovered for example, that HPV can put off users that care about Anal Cancer, and that Anal Cancer can put off users that care about HPV.

The goal of this design project is to simplify our brand to just “The Anal Cancer Foundation” or “Anal Cancer Foundation”. Our existing brand assets can be found on our website: www.analcancerfoundation.org.

Our existing logo is a version of the HPV virus, so as we plan to drop HPV from the name, we also drop it from the logo. We think some continuity could work well (for example, at least one of the existing colors) but it does not need to be a carbon copy. In line with more stream-lined messaging, a simpler logo with fewer small elements may work well from a design perspective. Font can change as well. As far as the text next to the logo goes, we require both a long name and a “block, fully justified” name, similar to our existing setting.

The brand should communicate inclusiveness, that no one should feel shame for this diagnosis. We are not afraid, and no one else should be. It should communicate that we are pioneers in a field where no one else wants to operate. It should communicate our results: The Anal Cancer Foundation funded the first drug in over 40 years for patients with advanced anal cancer, it also brought together countless patients and medical professionals in various conferences and forums.. Most importantly, the logo should convey the “humanness” of our messaging and not be too clinical.
