Hello, Ann! Thank you so much! The 2 main characters are Sally and Warren. Here are their physical descriptions:

The man is a tall Caucasian in his late twenties, wearing a pair of sporty Ray-Ban sunglasses. He’s got handsome features like those American actors, and broad shoulders like an athlete. His Stanford University T-shirt, khaki shorts, and black flip-flops give him a laid-back look. Taking off his Ray-Bans, he shows me a broad Hollywood smile, the kind that forms crinkles at the corners of one’s eyes. Looking at him, I think instinctively: upper-middle-class parents; probably played sports; confident kid who excelled in school all along.

I turn my attention to the woman. She is a thin, small-framed Asian, perhaps in her early or mid-twenties. She has cute, babyish features that probably make her look younger than her actual age. Though not appearing to wear makeup, her clean complexion and porcelain-like skin look as if they are from a photoshopped ad. She is wearing a plain black T-shirt, the type of jeans with holes in them, and a pair of Nike running shoes. The young woman seems a little pale and tense. It’s not as easy to guess her background, but I would bet money she is the one with questions for me.

About the murder scene, I am including this scene from the novel:

That was when I first saw the man lying on the floor.
His body was in an awkward, rigid position in a puddle of dried blood. I could see his face, stubbled and in a dark shade of blue. He was a Chinese man in his early thirties. His spiritless eyes seemed to be staring directly at me. His face, stiff from rigor mortis, appeared forever locked in a grotesque half-smile.
