Resumen de Diseño de Logo
We need a logo design for a social app (web and mobile) named 'Motival'
WHAT IS MOTIVAL?
Motival helps users to make a better use of their natural talents, improve their personal relationship with other users and make one's life choices easier. This is how Motival makes people happier.
Motival is NOT a wide scale mass social network (e.g. Facebook or Instagram). Motival rather IS a solution for the individual and his/her closest circle (friends, family) with shared life values.
WHAT THE LOGO SHOULD COMMUNICATE?
We would like our logo design to convey the following associations in overall feel and design:
- social and human nature of app
- positive emotions and feeling of happiness
WHAT ARE OUR PREFERRED VISUAL ROUTES & CLUES?
1. Logo style
We prefer wordmark, combination or abstract logo.
Logo should support a use in two forms:
a) full logo: includes the name 'Motival' and logo symbol.
Logo symbol is either uniquely stylized letter 'M' or a unique symbol - pictorial element.
b) symbol alone: e.g. for a use in app icon on phones or presentations
2. Overall feel
Logo should be light and modern, well-readable and suitable for a wide digital use. Key aspects of the brand should be conveyed clearly (human, social, happiness).
Logo should NOT be either childish, too funny or playful (app is not targeted at kids) or too formal, professional or IT (we are not lawyers or programmers either).
3. Shapes, fonts and symbolism
Shapes should be simple, readable and contemporary. Any symbols should convey key aspects of the brand, e.g. consider hidden clue to a smile (e.g. examples in attachment Smile_logo_examples.jpg). However, do NOT make it childish and do NOT make any straightforward smiley logos.
Fonts - modern and simple (no Gothic, complex handwritten script etc.). We prefer royalty free fonts with wide code-table coverage, so the font might be used in corporate style.
4. Colours
Colours should be adherent to communication objectives of conveying human and happiness aspects.
We prefer warm, bright and contemporary colours. Unique shade of colour over primary base shade is preferred. No specific colour preference, however consider sunset orange, fuchsia, royal purple or similar shades. Limit the number of colours to maximum of 3-4 in symbol.
5. Other important considerations
We would highly value and prefer logo if the logo symbol can be later re-used or visually transformed into app emoji icons that show emotional state of a user (happy / satisfied / neutral / dissatisfied / unhappy).
