Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I need a logo design for our family waterfront estate located in Southern Maryland. This logo (or variations thereof) will be used on business cards, property signage, vehicles, clothing, flags, branding irons, etc.

The property is called Charleston Point Farm and today consists of about 25 acres on a point of land at the confluence of Charleston Creek and Wicomico River, surrounded by broad farm fields, open meadows, woods and water. In 2009 we completed construction of a custom home built in the American vernacular farmhouse style of architecture that incorporates a tinned roof, simple gabled ends, bright white wood siding and numerous porches that define points of arrival, shelter and places of relaxation. In addition, the American farmhouse is typically found within an arrangement of outbuildings, and this idea is also incorporated at Charleston Point Farm with its series of informally positioned outbuildings that surround the house.

History plays an important role at Charleston Point Farm as the architecture of the main house was inspired by an early-1800s dwelling - a two-story rectangular wood-framed home known as Charleston Plantation (circa 1821-1826) - that stood for over 150 years before falling into disrepair and being abandoned in the 1970s. Charleston Plantation was the home of Daniel Jenifer (1791-1855), a Maryland state legislator, U.S. congressman and United States Minister to Austria. Descended from one of the most socially and politically prominent eighteenth-century families, Jenifer acquired the one thousand acre tobacco plantation in 1816. Well-known for his enjoyment of social gatherings and the gentlemanly sport of hunting with hounds, Jenifer entertained such notables as Daniel Webster and Henry Clay at Charleston.

Charleston Point Farm is located in Newburg, Maryland in a rural portion of Southern Maryland, about 1 hour south of Washington, DC. The property abounds with wildlife, most notably American Bald Eagles, osprey, hawks, Canadian Geese, wood ducks, white swans, white tailed deer, turkey and the occasional fox. There are numerous large trees on the property including an iconic oak tree sited along the water's edge. Crops grown on the farm include corn, soybeans and wheat.
