Wool Product Label / Yarn Band
Add your question or comments below
Greetings! Since the brief states that the "band would ideally be easily customized [because the] variables and will be printed specifically for each product," is there a specific file format that you would like the band/sticker to be delivered in? I'm asking just to confirm which software you have access to.
Thanks!
Thanks for your interest! I have both a Mac (preferred) and a PC, so I'm open to a lot of different formats if the software is reasonably inexpensive. I am currently printing my labels on a color laser printer (4 to a page) using a MS Publisher doc that is pulling data from Excel, but I'm not too happy with Publisher and it doesn't work on the Mac, so I'll probably be looking to use Apple Pages if I'm continuing to print full labels myself in a mail-merge model.
If I end up going the other route - a basic label that I have professionally printed but add a product data sticker to, I'm pretty sure I'll just need a .pdf for the printer and then I can make the sticker portion on any software that interfaces with a DYMO label printer.
Hope this helps - please don’t hesitate to ask if you have further questions!

Hi, there and thanks for inviting me for this great job...
- Can you please give your band size,
Because without size it not possible to design...
Thanks
Girish
The bands are currently being printed on 8.5"x11" paper, 4 to a sheet, so They are 8.5" wide and 2.75" tall. The entire width is not always visible, however, since they need to fit snugly around the wool - so if the wool is thinner, the band will be trimmed a bit on the width. The essential part of the design should be centered, and less than 5"across.
Thank you so much for giving this Size..
