We're looking for a talented graphic designer to make a sequel shine! The popular homespun and heartwarming book "Seashells, Gator Bones, and the Church of Everlasting Liability" (http://books2read.com/toadsprings1) is getting a sequel in "Moonshine, Muffins, and a Bowl of Gator Stew."

This cover should reflect a country lifestyle in 1930s Florida (so no modern buildings/technological features, etc), with bright colors and a "down-home" Bombeck sort of feel. The stories involve zany characters and is funny, poignant, and charming all at once.

Provided for reference is the cover of the first book in the series, but please don't feel it necessary to stick to that sort of style. We're more concerned with an excellent cover composition for this book than with consistency.

We'll need final deliverables in Photoshop and/or Illustrator format, and we'll have both trade paperback and hardcover sizes (specs provided later).

  • Appropriate typography
  • 1930s-era feel ("time gone by" "nostagic" etc)
  • Realistic/photorealistic art style
