Resumen de Diseño de Logo

The Oaken Group is a Marketing and Business Strategy consultancy that focuses on product design and management, growth strategy, go-to-market plans, digital marketing and experience, customer experience, and customer-centric strategies. We deliver on this promise for a range of businesses from start-ups to enterprise-level clients and have served clients in the Financial Services, Social Media, Travel, and Leisure and Entertainment industries.

Oaken was chosen as a name for the wide versatility of Oak as a material. It is a strong and resilient material that is used as the foundation of many structures. Additionally, the lifecycle of an oak tree is analogous to the companies we support. Startups start small, like an acorn, and often fight and struggle to find their place and footing in the market, we work directly with founders to establish and launch. Sprouts and saplings are early-stage organizations that are in the market, but need help scaling and we aid them through the refinement of their marketing strategies, validation and reworking of product design, and sometimes a reorientation of the target audience. Finally, Mature Oak trees are the mid to enterprise-level organizations that we support that are well established and growing. Here, we lend expertise in innovating within organizations and helping to solve for growth challenges or new initiatives and getting those off the ground.

Designs that lean more modern in aesthetic are more interesting for us and evoke the digital focus of the organization. We are not limited to having an icon/image in our logo and could foresee simple text designs working well, but also are open to looking at potential images. As a backstop, we are currently using an opensource illustration of an acorn as our logo (attached). We chose this as the hand-drawn illustration evokes a more established organization and like the simplicity of the drawing. Also, we oriented the acorn upwards to signify growth rather than downwards which is typically seen.

We don't have a set color palette at this time but like colors in the blue, purple, or even black/grey families. We envision the logo using a single color or a maximum of two colors. Simplicity is key. We don't want a logo that evokes a stoggy consultancy with people wearing suits all day. We're focused on working with innovative startups and need to match their chic and energy.

• Important will be to have a logo that can flex based on the deployment. For instance, logos used digitally are often sized smaller and therefore lose legibility when the size becomes an issue. Also, they tend to be more landscape in orientation.
  

No debería tener

• We do not want designs with an Oak Tree in them as this is too cliche and obvious and can be found throughout the internet.
