Hello, is it okay to base a design off of an existing theme, or are you looking to have a completely new theme designed? Thanks!

Basing a design off of a theme is acceptable, as long as one wouldn''t look at it and immediately recognize that it''s from a widely distributed theme or even a lesser-known theme. If it doesn''t have some level of originality, then I''m not interested. But, I think you could have uniqueness while starting with theme as a concept and evolving (as this is the way design is undertaken much of the time). This is a really subjective question. But, in the end, I would want to see the design you used for a foundation and determine how much variation you incorporated outside of the logo and color palette. That''s the only way I think I could say precisely where I stood on the topic.
