no, the book is not a period novel.

Emma looks a little bit like Nina Dobrev in "Vampire Diaries" and Céline like Keira Knightley (when she had longer, dark blond hair). Sorry, I was somehow not able to include fotos in my reply.

But I also like it, if only the silhouettes of the girls are the cover.
