Thank you so much for your efforts. My sincere apologies for my misunderstanding regarding how low ratings are used on this site. I thought they were just to help us understand where a particular design sits in this contest and I did not realize that those ratings impact your public profile. I had no intention of impacting your profile. To the best of my knowledge, I've removed those initial ratings.

There are some themes that are coming up that I wanted to share with all of you:

*Please do not include red in the color palette

*I'm seeing many blue and gray designs. These colorways tend to read more like a law firm and do not present a unique look for the brand. Some of the more successful designs so far are exploring black and varying hues related to brass and copper. You do NOT have to go in that direction, I just wanted to share the observation with you.

*Many of you have submitted creative marks with a mortarboard integrated into the design. As much as I appreciate the creativity, I'd like to leave the mortarboard out.

*Brass Tacks is more about getting work done and being focused on the right problems than it is about tacks. I'm not saying that I think it is impossible to create a mark that elegantly integrates a tack, but I do want to help focus you on what the tack represents so that your logos aren't necessarily dominated by a tack icon or graphic.

I wanted to add some more general feedback for you to consider:

*Please do not submit any designs that include a combination of a B and a T above the words. At this point, I'm able to determine that although I understand the design choice, it's just not working.

*I'd like to reiterate that I am not interested in any designs that include a graduation hat or mortarboard

*Please do not submit any designs that use a blue and gray colorway

*There is still plenty of opportunity to represent the concept of innovation in the logos. Very few designers have been able to present a creative concept for this.

Thanks so much for your continued contributions!

I'm wondering if any of you may be able to come up with a design that is inspired by the FedEx logo's use of an arrow in the negative space. I have not seen very many designs that have effectively taken advantage of negative space, and our brand -- especially based upon so many of the designs that you have submitted -- may present a very good opportunity to do so. I don't think I can post the FedEx logo here, but maybe take a look at it and see if you might be able to find some inspiration there.
