Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Update - We originally specified that we did not want a cloud in the logo. But after receiving a design that did incorporate a cloud we're rethinking that. I think the key is that the cloud isn't "in your face". The shape is there and the idea is there, but it's not a cartoony cloud floating on the page. Hope that makes sense.

We need a logo for our new company based in Annapolis, Maryland. This logo will be used on our website, business cards, letterhead, etc. A description of our current focus is toward the bottom of this Task Description.

The "Chesapeake" in Chesapeake Technologies comes from the Chesapeake Bay, a large part of peoples' lives in the Annapolis area. It represents the traditional, stable values that we bring to our engagements; solid business practices, proven experience, trustworthy guidance. "Technologies" represents our expertise, and how we help businesses. With our guidance, businesses can take full advantage of today's business enabling, transformative technologies..

The logo needs to be fresh and modern with a "Technologies" feel, but it needs to be taken seriously by our target audience; Senior and C-level management with the budget and authority to make decisions. Our current focus is on Cloud technologies and services, but we are not looking for a cloud-based logo. We want the logo to represent the company, not just our current Cloud technologies focus.
