Why not ask the original designer for the cmyk files? As a designer it should be included it the source files already.

Thanks for the heads up, folks. One of the requirements for the project's logo design was, to make use of the festival logo. As the festival logo came with the color gradient it was apparently just a question of time when it came to the printing issue.
