Resumen de Diseño Web

We, the Chair in Business Administration, especially information and service systems, teach in the field of Business Informatics and Business Administration at Saarland University.

We want to setup our current website in a fresh new and clean design because the design of the old page is outdated: http://iss.uni-saarland.de/en/

The design should be created in a way that we can integrate it into Wordpress later. Furthermore, the website should have the existing website tabs (pages). We want to add the missing subcategories in the tabs, which means that when you move the mouse over a tab, subcategories/side menus should appear.

We have the goal that the website is very clear and that the students get a direct overview especially of the lectures offered. Furthermore the website should be suitable for mobile devices.

Start page:
In general we are interested in a Tile-based Design (2 or more columns) on the start page - similar to this page: https://www.uni-kl.de/. Here, the fields (Information and Service Systems (ISS) with photo, Lectures of the semester, theses, study projects, projects, current events (social media wall), jobs and internship (together), new publications) should be integrated in the form of tiles with a cover picture per field and a short description.
Furthermore, we would like to position a search bar, a social media wall especially for Instagram (replaces the field current events) and the cooperation partners perhaps as sliders with logos of the companies in the lower part of the start page (see Cooperation tab on the far right) on the start page. Footer remains the same.

Research:
Display the same content more attractively.

Learning-Platform:
Furthermore only as link.

Teaching:
In addition to the existing sub-items (Lectures of the semester, teaching-archive, learning platform, theses and book lending), the "Overview of ISS courses" and the " Open Bachelor & Master theses" should be graphically displayed.

Team:
The concept of the Teamgraph including project connections should remain. Furthermore we can imagine to list the employees with photos and short description in form of tiles (1 employee on a tile) below the graph (2 or more columns of tiles).

Publications:
Continue to display a list of publications.

Jobs and internships:
The Open Positions should be divided here into Research Associates, Student Assistants and interns, so that it becomes clearer (3 columns).

Projects:
Here we are interested a Tile-based Design (2 or more columns). We want to integrate the project fields (EVAREST, Future Data Assets etc.) in the form of tiles with a title image per field and a short description.

Events and cooperations should be removed as they are sufficiently represented on the start page.
