Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are looking for an overarching logo for the entire festival, which is made up of three events in total.

We want to play on both connotations of dark spirits – both the alcoholic drinks and the dark side of the human spirit.

The overall festival style is glamorous, textural, rich, tactile, modern, classy, hedonistic and dark.

Our aesthetic includes luxe fabrics like velvet and satin, sleek hard materials like dark glass and bronze, dried native New Zealand plants like toi toi (a type of grass) and flaxes, natural materials like fur, wood, peacock feathers and antlers. We want to include the colours of whiskeys and rums, jewel tones, steel greys and dark, deep reds and blues.

Each of the three events is outlined below:

Friday Evening – Connoisseurs Lounge
Friday evening is a classy, corporate event. This professional night is about networking, showing off and being seen while enjoying some delicious cocktails featuring dark spirits from distilleries around New Zealand. The target market is young professionals and aficionados – those who have some disposable income to spend on cocktails, bottles, and food.

Saturday Daytime – Distillers Session
This daytime festival is a casual, comfortable and relaxed day out for the people who want to try a selection of dark spirits, chat with the distillers, watch and learn how the cocktails are made, and find out how dark spirits are produced by the different distilleries around the country. There will be a wide range of great food truck options and relaxed music either playing on the sound system or a live acoustic musician. This event is for friends to relax and have fun while trying something new.

Saturday Night – Masquerade Revelry
Guests can let their own dark spirits loose for an evening of hedonistic fancy dress. A night of dinner, drinks, dancing and debauchery, the Masquerade Revelry is glamorous, rich, edgy and sultry. The main ballroom will feature a big band, with a DJ playing in a smaller, more intimate area. Guests will be buying cocktails and bottles, but there is not the focus on education like in the Distillers Session. We want a feeling of exclusivity for our guests, and for the night to be something they rave about for weeks.
