This book cover will be used for both a eReader and a paperback book. The title of the book is "The Convention" and "A Novel" should appear below that. The title should be on the Front cover and on the spine. The author is Kurt Hohenstein.. That also appears on the front cover and spine.
The book is political thriller about a runaway constitutional convention set in the United States, shortly after the first woman is elected president. The cover should be graphic, attractive and depict the arc of the story. On the back panel of the book cover (the left side), we should see a depiction of a wheat field in the midwest, perhaps a road, leading to the spine and front cover. (The hero is a small town newspaper publisher from Nebraska.) The front cover morphs into a graphic image where the wheat shafts become arms and hands upraised in several iconic symbols, perhaps the two finger V for victory or peace sign, the black power raised fist, the aloha two finger sign, .. with at the center of the raised fists, a distinct fist holding a small American flag. The graphic image should grab the audience, and represent the power of the people to rise up and turn politics upside down.
I am writing a series of these political novels, so I want the graphic image here, while unique to be able to be used in some sense in future novels. (See for example, the John LeCarre spy series published by Penquin Press.
I will want the final file to permit me to add a short description of the novel on the back cover, perhaps a short blurb from a review as well.
