Task:

Scope Property Group have recently purchased the Dampier Village Centre, shopping centre in Dampier Western Australia and now need a logo created to brand the property.

About Dampier:

Dampier is a small regional coastal town in the remote North West of Western Australia and is a town where the outback meets the ocean.

The Dampier Village Centre is effectively the town centre of Dampier and is the main commercial precinct of the town (offices, supermarket,cafe's, food and beverage shops). The property is located close to the beach foreshore and enjoys attractive views to the North over the ocean, port and Dampier Archipelago.

Dampier (the town) is effectively a beach side suburb of Karrattha and considered to be the premium residential location within the Karratha region. Being a beach side suburb, many of the residents of Karratha will visit regularly to enjoy its sandy beaches, fishing , diving, and eat at the local restaurants. Geographically speaking, Dampier is a town where the ocean meets the outback.

Name: Dampier Village Centre

1: We are seeking branding that will reflect the shopping centre will be the centre of a vibrant community that is nestled between the red dirt of the Pilbara outback and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

2: Colours - Given the ocean location of the property in the Pilbara of Western Australia we believe that colour combinations of blues, red ochres and desert browns and yellows would be most appropriate appropriate.

3: The branding should convey the message that Dampier Village Centre is the central gathering place for the community be it for business or leisure.

4: We are looking for an abstract or emblem style of logo

5: The overall tone or feel of the logo needs to reflect the element of the Pilbara region and outback, along with its connection to the ocean. Dampier Village Centre will reflect the centre of a vibrant local community and have an elegant but retro feel.
