Resumen de Diseño de Logo
To design a logo for a retro, speakeasy-style tavern in the tourist town of Moab, Utah. The logo must use the colors red and black on a white ground, and must be composed to lay out within the circularity of a drink coaster (see photo of example drinks coaster). The central pictorial element of the logo must be a specific fancy martini glass that is actually used in our tavern (photo provided), though the designer may take some moderate liberties with the proportions of this glass for greater harmony in the design. The text "Fancy Glass" must be in a cursive handwritten script evoking the period around the 1930's and 1940's, and must be a combination of upper and lower case letters. According to the preferences of the designer, the text elements "The", "Tavern" and "MOAB, UTAH" may be in a san-serif type OR cursive script (also evoking the period), and may be styled in all uppercase or a combination of upper and lower case letters. The tavern is an upscale establishment, so a simple, sophisticated feeling of greater historical accuracy is preferable to an overblown & cheesy retro style. Unfortunately, DesignCrowd makes you choose between a Pictoral/Combination Logo, and an Emblem Logo. I think this logo should be somewhere between those two. The text and the pictorial image of the martini glass should be integrated together in this logo to create a feeling of circularity, but they should not be inside a deliberate or heavy shield element. Perhaps the drinks coaster itself, or perhaps just a simple light circle, acts as the "shield" in this case. KEEP IT SIMPLE AND IN THE STYLE OF THE PERIOD. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THIS LOGO HAD A SIMPLICITY THAT IT COULD EASILY BE MODIFIED TO BECOME A NEON SIGN.

Objetivo del mercado(s)
Customers of an upscale tavern. The logo should also look good on a t-shirt for an 18- to 35-year-old demographic.

Debes tener
- A specific martini glass as the central graphical element (pictured)
A circular feeling for layout on a drinks coaster (example drinks coaster pictured)
Limited colors of black & red on a white ground
A feeling of the 1930's and 1940's (example store front with period fonts pictured)
Agradable de tener
- The text element "MOAB, UTAH" should be very small and appear at the bottom of the logo; it should be very much subsidiary to "The Fancy Glass Tavern" business name. "The Fancy Glass Tavern" text may be written over the top of the martini glass pictured in the logo if desired to create a more fluid and integrated look, but this is at the discretion of the designer and is not a requirement. In logos of the 1930's and 1940's, upward-sloping cursive script was used to show optimism--see an example of this in the provided storefront photo. It could be nice, but is not required, if the "Fancy Glass" cursive element had this upward-sloping quality.
No debería tener
- In the Logo Text description, a slash was used to separate two distinct text elements, "The Fancy Glass Tavern" and "MOAB, UTAH". This slash should NOT appear in the logo.
The logo should NOT be in a strict Art Deco style from the 1920's. That is too formal and earlier than our desired period.
